Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson heading to injured list

One of the Cubs’ most durable players will be out for at least 10 days. Shortstop Dansby Swanson (left oblique) left Sunday’s game against the Cardinals in the bottom of the third inning after swinging through a 0-0 Hunter Dobbins pitch. Swanson immediately grimaced in pain and was replaced by pinch-hitter James Triantos. Manager Craig Counsell said Swanson will get an MRI on Monday and be placed on the injured list.
