Cubs named 'obvious' trade landing spot for 3.69 ERA Mets All-Star
It's no secret that the Chicago Cubs need starting rotation help at the trade deadline. Injuries have really taken their toll on the pitching staff. President of baseball operations Jed Hoyer is tasked with finding at least an arm or two that can help the Cubs in the postseason. One of the top starters who could be made available is Freddy Peralta from the New York Mets. The Mets have fallen out of the playoff race, and the right-hander is on an expiring contract.
