Crochet artisans attempt 14-km-long national flag record

RAJU A 14-kilometre-long crochet national flag was created at the Port Stadium in Akkayyapalem on Saturday, in an attempt to set a world record.Organised by Mahila Manovikas under “Project Tiranga”, the event, titled “Largest Crochet Bunting”, brought together over 40,000 hand-knitted woollen flags contributed by participants across India and from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Malaysia, Singapore and Dubai.The flags, tied in 14 rows along iron poles encircling the stadium, took roughly 12 hours to assemble, beginning at 6 a.m. Organisers said the attempt sought to surpass the existing reco
