Council backs equal pay scheme that hikes wages for most but cuts pay of one in nine

Glasgow City Council has approved a sweeping pay and grading overhaul designed to end decades of equal pay discrimination but while 63% of 24,000 staff gain, around 11% face cuts of up to £11,500 a year.
