September 05, 2026 10:35 AM ET The New York City chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America is trading its worn-down headquarters for two upscale offices that will run $22,000 a month.The socialist group is abandoning its Lower East Side base in favor of new spaces in Midtown and Bed-Stuy, according to the New York Post. Co-chair Grace Mausser laid out the plan for members at a recent meeting while walking them through the chapter’s budget. The Manhattan location sits inside a 14-story building on West 35th Street and comes with a doorman, round-the-clock security and a furnished rooftop, the Post reported.
