Cosmin Ghiță steps down as CEO of Romania’s nuclear power producer Nuclearelectrica

26 August 2026 Cosmin Ghiță has resigned as CEO of Romanian nuclear power producer Nuclearelectrica, with the Energy Ministry saying the decision follows “a new professional opportunity.” His departure comes as both reactors at the Cernavodă nuclear power plant remain offline because of the low level of the Danube.
