Copper Record Lifts Chile as Price Hits US$6.59 a Pound

Copper set a record of US$6.59 per pound on the London Metal Exchange in the week ending 14 August 2026, while the dollar fell to 912.82 pesos in Santiago. Chile's mining commission Cochilco raised its 2026 price forecast to US$5.95 per pound.
