Cook County sees 10th heat related death of 2026, further passing decade-old high
A man died of heat-related reasons Tuesday just a block away from several hospitals, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
The 64-year-old man, whose name has yet to be released, died of cardiovascular disease complications and heat stress in the 1000 block of South Wood Street Tuesday around 6 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
