Cook County sees 10th heat-related death of 2026
A man died of heat-related reasons Tuesday just a block away from several hospitals, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The 64-year-old man, whose name has not been released, died of cardiovascular disease complications and heat stress in the 1000 block of South Wood Street Tuesday around 6 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
