Community 'left behind' by unreliable rail services
'It's a terrible service,' one passenger said16:48, 05 Jul 2026People in Whiston are struggling to get to work, school and hospital appointments because of infrequent and unreliable rail services from the local station, the ECHO has heard. Trains from Liverpool to Manchester via Broad Green and Huyton generally stop at Whiston Station once an hour on weekdays and Saturdays and once every two hours on Sundays.
