Common daily drink 'can slash cholesterol' for women after menopause

The new study combined the results from more than 1,000 middle-aged women taking part in different studies. This particular review looked at green tea and the results showed that consuming tea regularly reduced blood cholesterol by an average of 0.18mmol per litre.Dietitian Dr Carrie Ruxton, from the Tea Advisory Panel, said: “Cholesterol levels often rise after the menopause as falling oestrogen alters how fats are processed by the body.
