College exam committee tightens smart glasses ban

By Rachel Lin and Kayleigh Madjar / Staff reporter, with staff writer Add TT as Preferred Source The College Entrance Examination Center yesterday voted to amend regulations for the next academic year, listing smart glasses as a major violation after an examinee was caught wearing a pair during this year’s Advanced Subjects Test (AST).Starting from Aug. 1 next year, anyone wearing or carrying smart glasses, regardless of whether they are used, would be considered cheating and receive a score of zero for that subject, the center’s examination committee said.Even if the glasses are left in a designated storage area, a zero score would be given if they are not powered off, it added.
