Coalition welcomes withdrawal of mining endorsement in Sibuyan

CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO, Philippines — Environmental coalition Alyansa Tigil Mina (ATM) has welcomed the decision of the Sangguniang Bayan of San Fernando in Romblon province to recall its endorsement of Altai Philippines Mining Corporation’s (APMC) proposed mining operations in Barangay España, Sibuyan Island. In a statement issued Tuesday (Aug. 4), ATM described the municipal
