Co Antrim working men’s club manager outed as cocaine crime gang leading member is jailed

A Co Antrim man branded a leading member of an organised crime gang has been handed a five-year sentence.Glen Burns will spend two years in jail followed by three years on licence for the role he played in a plot to supply cocaine.The 43-year-old, from Moyard Gardens in Greenisland, was one of six men arrested following a covert police operation.Belfast Crown Court heard that on November 19, 2020 a Vauxhall Astra car was seized by police following a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.It had been parked unlocked in a public yard behind Kinbayne Avenue in Greenisland and bags of white powder suspected to be cocaine were uncovered.The bags were later forensically examined and confirmed to be cocaine with a purity level of 7%.The following day, one kilogram of cocaine with a purity of 60% wa
