CM Vijay to hold consultation with Tamil Nadu MPs on Delimitation Bill on August 9

Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay will consult the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs from Tamil Nadu on the Demilitation Bill proposed by the Union government.According to an official release, the Centre has been taking steps to pass the Delimitation Bill in the Parliament. The Chief Minister will hold a meeting at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai on August 8, 2026 with the MPs from Tamil Nadu in both the Houses of Parliament on the impact the bill would have on the State. The invitation for the consultative meeting was being sent to the Tamil Nadu MPs through the Tamil Nadu House in New Delhi, the release said. Published - August 06, 2026 09:00 pm IST
