CM Vijay announces cash awards for Commonwealth Games medalists from T.N.

Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Saturday congratulated Praveen Chithravel, who won the silver medal, and Selva Prabhu, who won the bronze medal, in the men’s triple jump event at the 23rd Commonwealth Games, currently being held in Glasgow, Scotland.In recognition of their achievements, the State government will provide a cash incentive of ₹30 lakh to Mr. Chithravel and ₹20 lakh to Mr. Prabhu, the Chief Minister announced.In a post on X, Mr. Vijay said it was a matter of great pride and happiness that two athletes from Tamil Nadu had won medals in the same event.
