A clean-up of the Ooty Race Course was conducted on Monday by various organisations to mark World Nature Conservation Day as well as to bring attention to the embattled wetland which is being developed by the State Horticulture Department.Volunteers from the Confederation of Environment Associations of Nilgiris (CEAN), Kotagiri Citizens Welfare Association (KCWA), Citizens Forum of Ootacamund as well as other organisations participated in the event.Arun Bellie from the KCWA told The Hindu the clean-up was also conducted to bring awareness to the development works that are being undertaken on the Ooty Race Course
