Ciro Gomes Leads Ceará Governor Race in New AtlasIntel Poll, Ahead of Elmano de Freitas

A new poll from AtlasIntel puts Ciro Gomes ahead in the race for governor of Ceará, with 49.3% to 44.6% for the sitting governor, Elmano de Freitas of the Workers' Party. The survey of 1,774 voters, taken between 6 and 11 August 2026, has a margin of error of 2 percentage points. It is a snapshot of a race between two camps that once governed the state together.
