Chile GDP Flat in Second Quarter, Joint-Weakest in the OECD

Chile's economy stagnated in the second quarter of 2026, posting zero growth and a year-on-year contraction. The figures landed in the same week that President José Antonio Kast launched a 12-member commission to cut the number of ministries and redesign the state.
