Chikkamagaluru police arrest man for attempting to disturb communal harmony

The Chikkamagaluru police on Monday arrested a person on charge of attempting to disturb communal harmony by circulating, on social media, a video of a Tippu Sultan cutout paired with a song mentioning Pakistan.The police registered a case suo motu after noticing the video on social media platforms, and traced the person who had allegedly posted and circulated it. The accused has been identified as Roshan, 23. The police have taken a few others into custody for questioning.A 40-foot cutout has been installed in Tippu Nagar in the city ahead of the Id Milad procession scheduled for Wednesday.
