A teenage lifeguard braved fierce waves at Seabright Beach in Santa Cruz, California, Saturday afternoon to save the life of a boy who had been caught in the surf, according to video taken at the scene.Santa Cruz resident Scott Vander Dussen, who was taking pictures at the beach, alerted a lifeguard when he saw the boy struggling in the water, according to reports by CBS News Bay Area.
