Car and 10A bus crash in Rainhill as people told to 'avoid the area'

Just before 10.30am, police received a report of a crash involving a bus and car, a grey Audi A3, on Warrington Road at the junction of Chatsworth Road in Rainhill.‌Road closures are currently in place and drivers have been asked to avoid the area while emergency services deal with the incident. A cordon is in place, with numerous eyewitnesses telling the ECHO they heard the crash before police and air ambulance arrived at the scene.‌Diversions on the 10A bus route, which goes from St Helens to Liverpool ONE, are in place.
