Canada has important information for international students

Starting today, Canada has implemented new financial requirements for international student study permits, raising the amount that applicants must demonstrate to accommodate higher living expenses. For single applicants outside Quebec, the required proof has risen to CAD $23,448, an increase of $553. Families applying will also see more significant financial criteria. These adjustments affect those submitting applications after September 1, 2026.
