Campaigners stage protest outside proposed 'Number 10 North' with Andy Burnham masks
Campaigners and trade unionists staged a protest outside what is set to become Number 10 North today (July 16) on the eve of Andy Burnham's coronation as leader of the Labour Party. Members of the Trade Union Council gathered on Great Ancoats Street, site of the former Toys R Us store, which has been tipped as a potential option for his government's northern outpost. The M.E.N previously reported that part of his team are set to begin working from northern headquarters from the moment he enters office.
