Byelections to 38 local body wards in Keralam on September 28

Byelections to 38 local body wards in the State will be held on September 28, the State Election Commission has said. These are the first bypolls to local body wards after the Congress-led UDF government came to power in Keralam in May.The polling will be held from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The polled votes will be counted on September 29 across multiple centres.The election notification will be issued on Thursday, September 3, State Election Commissioner N. Seshadrinathan said. Nominations can be filed from September 3 to September 10. The scrutiny of the papers will be held on September 11.
