NewsGreater Manchester NewsHarpurheyNo-one was seriously injured in the crash22:24, 04 Jul 2026A British Transport Police vehicle collided with another car in Harpurhey yesterday evening (July 3) while taking a man into custody for assault, the force has said.‌Photos from the scene showed a large cordon in place at the junctions of Queens Road and Rochdale Road in Harpurhey, with vehicles from the North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service in attendance.‌A blue Kia Picanto and a police van appear to have been badly damaged in the collision, with the former wrapped around a lamp-post, and the latter appearing to have collided with railings in the middle of the road, its front bumper completely hanging off.‌Click here to get the biggest stories straight to yo
