Brewers make MLB decision on $31 million top prospect not named Jesus Made
The Milwaukee Brewers made a significant decision with one of their top outfield prospects on Tuesday. According to Daniel Alvarez Montes of El Extra Base, the NL Central club has promoted Luis Lara from Triple-A. Lara, 21, can play center or right field. He signed a seven-year, $31 million extension with the Brewers before ever stepping onto a Major League field. In 78 Triple-A games this season, Lara is hitting .321/.432/.470 with nine home runs and 10 doubles. Nine homers is a major increase for Lara, who hit just 10 homers in the minors before this season.
