Brazil’s Braskem Files For Extrajudicial Recovery On US$10.9 Billion Debt

Braskem, a major Brazilian petrochemical company, has filed for extrajudicial recovery to restructure roughly US$10.9 billion in financial debt. The process is separate from its Mexican unit's Chapter 11 case and does not yet involve asset sales.
