Braves release former Pirates MVP one day after trade deadline

The Atlanta Braves are moving on from a former NL MVP. Just one day after the trade deadline, the NL East club has made three significant roster changes. But its release of an ex-Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star stands out above the rest. According to the MiLB transaction log, the Braves have released outfielder Andrew McCutchen from his minor league contract.
