Braves and Phillies predicted to fight for best player available in major NL East twist

Right now, there's a strong argument to be made that the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves are two of the three best teams in the National League. The Braves, who had played as the best team in Major League Baseball for a lot of the season before struggling a tad before the All-Star break, are now just 2.5 games ahead of Philadelphia. The Phillies, at 54-44, didn't exactly play well before the All-Star break either, but are still in a position to buy, as they are 2.5 games out in the National League East. Of course, the biggest question for both teams is how much they're willing to buy and what they're willing to give up. If either team is trying to win a World Series, which we both know they are, it wouldn't be surprising to see both squads go after a guy like Tarik Skubal. That's
