BNDES Profit Rises 25% to R$9.2 Billion (US$1.7 Billion) in First Half of 2026

BNDES, Brazil's national development bank, posted first-half 2026 recurring profit of R$9.2 billion (about US$1.7 billion), up 25.5% year on year. The bigger story is the lending behind it: disbursements jumped 37% to R$74.8 billion as the bank pushed cash back into infrastructure, industry and farming.
