Blue Jays have complicated future decision with $150 million All-Star

The Toronto Blue Jays have had a disappointing season. Just one year removed from a trip to the World Series, the Blue Jays are in last place in the AL East and on the outside looking in at a Wild Card spot. Toronto was a buyer and seller at the deadline, trading away outfielder Daulton Varsho, starter Kevin Gausman and closer Jeff Hoffman while acquiring Jose Soriano for next year's rotation. The Blue Jays also added right-hander Spencer Arrighetti from the Houston Astros. One impending free agent they did not trade is designated hitter/outfielder George Springer.
