BJP seeks White Paper, judicial probe into 22-A land row

BJP State president N. Ramchander Rao on Monday reiterated the party’s demand for a White Paper explaining why farmers’ lands were included in the 22-A prohibited properties list and called for a judicial inquiry into the alleged irregularities and beneficiaries behind the controversy.Addressing a protest by farmers at Siddipet along with Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao in front of the Revenue Divisional Officer’s office, Mr. Rao alleged that the Congress government had failed to safeguard farmers’ interests and that many landowners were facing severe hardship because of the inclusion of their lands in the 22-A list.Accusing the government of creating confusion over land ownership, Mr. Rao said people were being subjected to unnecessary distress. He claimed that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy
