BJP cries foul as Ramchander Rao stopped from visiting Nalgonda

The BJP on Tuesday accused the Congress government of “suppressing” democratic rights after State BJP president and former MLC N. Ramchander Rao was stopped by police and taken into custody while attempting to visit Nalgonda district.Mr. Rao was planning to travel to Nalgonda to meet district party president N. Varshith Reddy, whose house was allegedly ransacked by Congress workers. Police personnel reached Mr. Rao’s residence in Tarnaka and prevented him from leaving. He was later taken to Gandhinagar police station, triggering strong protests from party leaders, including national president Nitin Nabin, Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, along with several senior party leaders.The incident comes less than a week after Mr. Rao was similarly prevented from visiting Ram
