Birmingham City Sports Quarter and The Powerhouse stadium latest as consultations continue

Birmingham City’s consultations over a new Sports Quarter are “progressing at speed” but chief executive Jeremy Dale warns the whole project cannot be rushed.Birmingham have been working on redeveloping the 48-acre Wheels Park site in east Birmingham as part of an enormous regeneration scheme, the heart of which will be a new stadium dubbed The Powerhouse.The plans around the stadium itself include new transport links, a training centre, women’s stadium, arena and mixed-use development with housing.It has been reported this week about proposals for a nature conservation site and a debate about its impact on the whole scheme.‌Dale said: “It's all good.
