Bill to amend Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Act, 2025, introduced in Assembly

Minister for Energy Resources and Law C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar on Thursday (September 3, 20266) introduced a Bill in the Assembly to amend the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Act, 2025, seeking to remove references to the National Building Code of India, 2016, in compliance with the recommendations of the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP), 2026.Mr. Kumar moved the Bill on behalf of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, who holds the portfolio of Fire and Rescue Services.
