Bengaluru Traffic Police book 517 drunk driving cases in week-long drive
The enforcement drive resulted in the collection of ₹14.80 lakh in fines for traffic violations during the week. | Photo Credit: File Photo The Bengaluru Traffic Police have registered 517 cases against motorists for drunk driving during a special enforcement drive conducted across the city between August 10 and 16.During the week-long operation, the traffic police checked 35,175 vehicles within the limits of 53 traffic police stations. Cases were registered against the 517 motorists found driving under the influence of alcohol, and their driving licenses were seized.In addition, police registered cases against 146 motorists for speeding and negligent driving.The enforcement drive resulted in the collection of ₹14.80 lakh in fines for traffic violations during the week.Traffic police offic
