Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation refutes claims of 500 idle electric buses, says fleet operating normally

The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has dismissed reports claiming that more than 500 electric buses remain off the road every day, calling the allegations "completely false" and factually incorrect.In a press release issued on Wednesday, BMTC said it currently operates a fleet of 1,760 electric buses across Bengaluru through four operators NTPC Electric Supply Company Limited, Switch Mobility Automotive Limited, TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Limited, and OHM Global Mobility Private Limited.
