‘Beggars belief’: Major energy firm fined £267,000 over five Fife gas leaks

One of the world's biggest oil and gas companies has been fined £267,000 after five leaks of extremely flammable hydrocarbons at its Fife Ethylene Plant, including one which continued for four months before safety inspectors intervened.
