Bears sign veteran safety Xavier Woods

Desperate for help at safety after Coby Bryant hurt his left knee earlier this week, the Bears signed Xavier Woods to a one-year deal Friday. Woods certainly has the experience — he's started a whopping 121 games in nine NFL seasons. He was drafted by the Cowboys in Round 6 in 2017, playing for four seasons before signing with the Vikings in 2021.
