Bears expected to sign DE Marcus Davenport

The Bears are expected to sign veteran edge rusher Marcus Davenport, a former first-round pick, to a one-year deal. A source confirmed the move Monday. Davenport played for current Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen when the two were in New Orleans and spent one season on the same Lions team as head coach Ben Johnson.
