BC Welfare Minister reviews condition of ailing Guntur hostel students

Andhra Pradesh BC Welfare Minister S. Savitha on Friday reviewed the health condition of students at a BC Welfare Hostel in Guntur after three girl students were admitted to the Government General Hospital (GGH) with minor health complaints.The Minister spoke to BC Welfare Department officials and GGH Superintendent G. Durga Prasad over the phone to assess the situation. Dr. Durga Prasad informed her that the students were in a stable condition and that their illness was linked to the consumption of iron tablets, not food poisoning.He said the students were receiving appropriate treatment and remained under medical observation.Ms. Savitha directed the authorities to ensure the students received the best possible medical care under the supervision of doctors.
