B&M is set to slash prices after suffering a drop in sales, reports The Express.‌The popular discount popular chain - which was founded in 1978 and sells a wide range of goods including homewares, garden furniture, confectionery, toys, cosmetics and electrical and DIY goods - has seen like-for-like sales fall, with a slow start to the gardening season said to be to blame. While hot weather in the spring saw sales increase almost 11%, this was then followed by a fall, although the company's chief executive Tjeerd Jegen said these results were expected and there are signs of recovery.
