Ayacucho Earthquake of Magnitude 7.2 Shakes Southern Peru and Is Felt in Lima

A magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck southern Peru's Ayacucho region, felt as far as Lima. No deaths were reported, but damage occurred in Ayacucho and Cusco.
