Avianca’s Earthquake Flexibility Waiver for Western Colombia Ends Sunday, 16 August 2026

Avianca is giving travellers to or from four cities in western Colombia a way out after a magnitude 7.4 earthquake. If your flight is scheduled through Sunday, 16 August 2026, to or from Pereira, Armenia, Cali or Quibdó, you can move it up to 15 days later with no penalty or fare difference, reroute through another Colombian airport, or refund the segments you have not used. The airline also added about 2,500 seats and used larger Boeing 787 jets on some routes.
