Athletics quietly make trade with Cardinals for five-year MLB reliever
The Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals quietly made a trade on Sunday night. The trade is not groundbreaking for either club, but a five-year Major League veteran was involved. According to MLB.com's Martin Gallegos, they acquired right-handed reliever Scott Blewett from the Cardinals in exchange for cash considerations. The Cardinals recently designated Blewett for assignment.
