Arrest at Manchester Airport after man, 19, stabbed in city centre

Emergency services descended on Church Street following reports of an ongoing incident at around 12.50pm on Friday (July 31).Police officers found a 19-year-old man with injuries 'consistent with a stabbing'. He was rushed to hospital where he was treated for injuries described as 'life threatening'.GMP say he now remains in a stable condition. Greater Manchester Police cordoned off a large stretch of Church Street in the Northern Quarter this afternoon.
