Police were seen patrolling in a number of areas in and around Treorchy, including at Ynyswen railway station and on Bute Street.‌A spokesman for South Wales Police said officers were called shortly before 3.30pm to reports of "a man walking around with a bow and arrow in Treorchy." Armed officers were sent to the scene.‌They carried out a search of the area, but the man was not located.
