Arizona grandfather set to have both legs amputated after tripping on scorching sidewalk that burned his body
An Arizona grandfather is set to lose both his legs after he tripped and collapsed on a sidewalk during a scorching 120-degree day. Grant Siler, 72, from Mohave County, laid helpless after falling during a walk in Bullhead City, which saw his body temperature rise to over 105 degrees, on Aug. 3. He fell outside and was unable to get up for at least an hour, according to a GoFundMe campaign launched by his family. By the time someone discovered him, he had suffered severe burns across multiple parts of his body from the extreme heat. Siler was hospitalized with second- and third-degree burns after tripping and falling outside in 120-degree weather on Aug. 3 near Las Vegas.
