APJAC urges govt. against ‘hasty’ implementation of Presidential Orders
The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (APJAC), Amaravati, on Thursday appealed to the State government not to rush the implementation of the Presidential Orders-2025, stressing that the Centre has provided a legally valid period of 27 months for the exercise to be completed. The Presidential Orders aims to provide 95% of government jobs to locals, and 5% to non-locals.Addressing a press conference, APJAC chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu and secretary-general Palisetti Damodara Rao expressed concern over what they described as the government’s attempt to accelerate the process to facilitate the release of the job calendar.
